Canfor Pulp Limited Partnership (CPLP) is a leading global supplier of
pulp and paper products with operations based in the central
interior of British Columbia. CPLP owns and operates three mills with
annual capacity to produce over one million ADMT of northern softwood
market kraft pulp, 90% of which is bleached to become NBSK Pulp, for
sale to the market and approximately 135,000 tonnes of Kraft Paper.
In addition, CPLP markets the softwood kraft pulp produced by the Howe
Sound pulp mill, and the BCTMP produced at the Taylor mill.
CPLP employs approximately 1,250 people throughout the organization.
All of the forest areas from which CPLP obtains its fibre supply have
environmental management systems in place. In addition, the Canfor
forest tenures from which the Partnership obtains the majority of its fibre
supply (4.86 million hectares) are certified to the Canadian Standards
Association Sustainable Forest Management Standard (CAN/CSA-Z809).
The company's pulp and paper facilities are certified to both the ISO 9001 and 14001 standards.
